Set in the Devon countryside near Exeter, The Lord Haldon is a characterful old house surrounded by woodland and rolling hills. It is a lovely place to spend an autumn Saturday, and an easy one to get lost on the way to, so do read the directions.
Arrival
Please arrive from half past twelve and be seated by quarter to one. The ceremony starts at one o’clock.
Parking
On site and free. Leaving a car overnight is fine. Car sharing is genuinely helpful here.
Getting there
By car
Off the M5 and A38 towards Exeter, then a few miles of Devon lane. Satnav will get you there, but the last stretch is narrow — take it gently. There is parking on site, and car sharing is very welcome.
By train
Exeter St Davids is the nearest useful station, about 20 to 25 minutes away by road. There are direct trains from London Paddington. Book a taxi for the last leg before you travel.
By plane
Exeter Airport is the closest, with direct services from a handful of UK cities. Bristol is the bigger option if the flights suit you better.
Taxis
